Meet Prof. Liliana González

Liliana C. González is joining the faculty in the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures and the Department of English as Assistant Professor of Latino/a Literature, Culture, and Theory. Liliana earned her PhD from the University of Arizona in Latin American Literature and Culture. Before attending the University of Arizona, she received her MA in Hispanic Studies from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her BA from the University of California, Irvine in Chicano/Latino Studies and Spanish. Her research project focuses on a queer analysis of racial and class discourses in hemispheric narco cultural production. Her broader research interests include Chicano/a, U.S. Latino/a and Latin American cultural studies, feminist theory, gender studies, and queer theory.
